Oh oh. I've been doing silly tests again. It's all Tara's fault! I'm not sure I like being a number 2!

I went on a Child Protection course today. It was most interesting. It was talking about the critical stages of child development and how children can become stuck at one particular stage if they are not allowed to develop properly. It's all pretty straight forward common sense but it does worry me that it is so easy to mess it up for them. The person who was leading was a fantastic lady called Dr. Josephine-Joy Wright. She was so bubbly and excited by the work she did that it was inspiring. She had some lovely quotes which really touched me.

Your past may mould you but it's not going to define you.

I really like that one and I think it's something that people forget. If you let the past eat away at you then it errodes your future happiness. You need to develop a secure base inside of yourself and take responsibility for yourself. All very interesting and good.

On a lighter note, oven buying time is drawing near. My old crappy oven has melted the corner of my shiny new draw very nicely thank-you. What with that and the holes that Jon and I drilled by accident, we are doing very well. So I've been lusting over fantastic, retro ovens. You can get this one in stainless steel and it's luuuuuuuuuuuurvely. Anyway, it's way past my bed time. Hopefully I should drop off without much trouble. Sleeping problems are back with a vengance. Still you can't have everything can you? I shall make do with my melted draw and holey doors.
