Happy New Year! T'was the season to be jolly and much jolly-ment has been had. If that makes sense. I now have no money and an almost new car wending its way towards Sheffield to pick up. I'm hoping I'll have it in a week or so.
I keep thinking how lucky we are when you think about the tsunami. I can't quite grasp the magnitude of such an event, but I expect it'll be one of those 'where were you?' moments. There was a 3 minute silence in the pub last night but there was a table of drunk idiots shouting and and being complete arseholes. If I'd been the landlord I'd have chucked them out. When the donation bucket came round they stuck their fingers up and shouted insults. Pleased to see that they didn't let the death of tens of thousands of people ruin their new year pints. But yes, where I started was how lucky we are here. I suppose my New Year resolution would be to try and remember how lucky I am. Oh, and get divorced.
